Why We Built This Site
Idaho provides several paths to public information, yet each path has a different custodian. Elmore County Sheriff Records keeps its own incident and arrest reports, while the detention center answers current-custody questions. The District Court and Magistrate Division preserve filed charges, events, and dispositions. Idaho State Police BCI maintains the state repository, and IDOC and the Idaho Sex Offender Registry cover separate forms of custody, supervision, and registration. We bring the verified request steps, fees, contacts, and official search routes together while keeping those boundaries clear.
What You Will Find Here
- Official routes: where Elmore County court, sheriff, jail, and state records can be requested
- Case guidance: how criminal court case records are found and read through iCourt and the clerk
- Repository instructions: how Idaho BCI name and fingerprint checks differ
- Relief distinctions: how Idaho incident expungement, shielding, dismissal or set-aside, and pardon are separate remedies
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately operated reference site, not part of an Idaho court, police department, sheriff's office, or state agency. Its limits are straightforward:
- We do not retrieve official criminal-history reports for visitors
- We cannot submit a records request or a petition on another person's behalf
- We issue no certified court document, agency report, or repository record
- We cannot apply Idaho law to a visitor's charge, warrant, or case
- We cannot promise that an agency's fee, address, or operating detail has not changed
An official copy must come from its custodian, such as the Elmore County Clerk, Sheriff Records, or Idaho State Police BCI.
Search Partners
Search boxes on some pages are supplied by independent providers. Those providers control their own results, services, and prices. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce a referral payment that supports site operations. We do not set the provider's charges or determine what its search returns.
